Opal Interface Signals

Opal Interface Signals

This section details all of the signals that interface to the Opal CPU Module.
As far as possible, each interface signal name matches the name for that signal on the i.MX53 or DA9053.
When designing with Opal, you should use the IOMux tool from Freescale to plan how you will use the i.MX53 signals. The Opal Product Page on devicesolutions.net includes a link to the tool, along with files which describe the pins that are available on the Opal module interface.
For detailed information on each signal, please refer to the Freescale documentation.

Signal Descriptions

The following table includes:

  • Pin location: Refer to the table following for a map of all pads.

  • Voltage: Most GPIO signals are 3.3V or 1.8V, but not all.

  • Name: This corresponds with the pins name on the originating device on the module.

  • GPIO: This column lists the i.MX53 GPIO number for signals that include this capability.

  • Notes. This may include a brief description or specific advice around interfacing to the signal. For a detailed description, consult the Freescale i.MX53 documentation.
