Getting Started with the Topaz Development Kit

This page includes all the information you need to unpack the Topaz Development Kit (TDK) and get started with software development.

Unpacking
Your box includes the Topaz Development Kit and several cables:
- The USB cable provides power to the development kit
- The Ethernet cable provides network connection for download and debugging applications
- The Serial cable is required for some update procedures

Powering the board
The TDK can be powered via the USB OTG port when you have no display, or the 4.3" LCD connected.
The 7" LCD ships with a 5V/2A power supply and this is required to power Topaz when this larger display is connected.
Software Development
Software development on Topaz depends on the Operating System you are using.
