Installation Notes
The GuruCE Getting Started Guide provides detailed instructions on installing WEC into the Opal-6 eMMC flash memory.
There are a couple of things to be aware of with Opal-6 to ensure the process goes smoothly.
Step 2
To put the board into boot mode, change BOOT CONFIG switch 7 to OFF and 8 to ON
Step 12.5 (Do this between steps 12 and 13)
When installing WEC onto the eMMC flash, the previously installed Linux OS and partitions will be lost. In order to prevent any remnants of this interfering with WEC, we strongly suggest you format the eMMC during the install process.
To do this, press M to enter the eMMC menu followed by E to erase, and y to confirm.
